Keith Stewart brings over twenty years of experience in the public and voluntary sectors. Initiating and developing projects that have involved the Police, Health Authorities, outdoor environments, schools and lesbian, gay and bisexual youth.
How does he work?

Keith provides creative training and facilitation. Working in a non-threatening and inclusive manner participants are empowered to use and develop their knowledge and skills.

What training is available?

One and two day courses in Assertiveness and Conflict Resolution.
A range of associates can be brought in to provide a range of content to a training event – including magic skills, management skills and outdoor activities.

How is the training planned?

The programme is planned with the organisation and the content fitted to their needs.

The results include increased self-awareness; use of creative problem solving skills; personalised action points; a stimulating, challenging and enjoyable learning experience.

Programmes can be created using aspects from different courses to address specific organisational needs.A one-day course on Dealing with Stress is available or can be incorporated into a programme.

Half-day programmes can also be provided to suit organisational needs.

Discussed their experience of conflict and the meaning of conflict in their lives.
Identified two of their behaviours in conflict situations.
Identified two areas of conflict in their professional lives and how to address these.
Experienced a range of strategies they can use to deal with situations.
Identified two action points they will complete to develop on the learning from the course.

The aim of the course is to enable participants to explore ways to express themselves more clearly, openly and confidently in their personal and professional relationships.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of the course participants will have:

Identified the difference between assertive and non-assertive behaviour.
Discussed and explored two situations where it is difficult to behave assertively.
Identified a range of assertive strategies and skills they can utilise.
Identified two action points they will complete to develop on the learning from the course.
